Description

A Project of the Common Counsel Foundation and Native Americans in philanthropy, Native Voices Rising is designed to support organizing, advocacy, and civic engagement in American Indian, Alaska Native, and Native Hawaiian communities. The Project provides general operating support grants to strengthen Native-led organizations that are building community leadership and power to improve the well-being of their communities. Grants focus on a wide range of critical issues including human and civil rights, reproductive justice, environmental health, and the protection of sacred sites. Eligible organizations should be rooted in a Native community, be led by Native people, hold a vision for change that improves the lives of Native community members, engage large numbers of community members to take action together, and seek to improve the policies and rules that impact the community. Additional information including an online grant portal can be found on the Web site.
