Sony World Photography Awards

DescriptionThe Awards provide those working in photography on the global stage to showcase their work. The Awards are given through four competitions: professional, open, youth, and student. The Professional competition recognizes outstanding bodies of work. The Open competition rewards exceptional standalone images. The Youth competition celebrates the best single images by emerging photographers ages 12 to 19. The Student competition provides a platform for photography students worldwide. All images are judged by industry experts from around the world who come together in London to reward standout works. A total prize fund of $60,000 plus the latest Sony digital imaging equipment is shared between the winning photographers. Deadlines vary depending upon which competition an applicant enters.
