Description

Founded by Lois Gibbs who was living in the Love Canal neighborhood, the Center’s small grants program supports grassroots groups working on environmental health and justice issues. Grassroots communities of color, low wealth, rural, and urban groups are encouraged to apply. Grants support projects that help groups move toward their goals by building leadership, increasing capacity, and /or providing training and education. Priority is given to programs and projects that help grassroots community groups build their capacity. The program is designed to especially reach people from low-wealth communities and communities of color who are impacted by environmental harms. Application details and additional information can be found on the Web site.
