New Earth Foundation
Category: Peace
DescriptionThe Foundation was created by former investment banker John Bigelow Loveland who inherited family wealth from nickel mining. Loveland decided to donate his inheritance to the Foundation and processes furthering benevolence, peace, and harmony. The Foundation seeks innovative projects with the potential to enhance life on earth and further peace. The Foundation awards grants in support of pioneering yet practical projects in many fields of endeavor, including but not limited to environmental initiatives aimed at eliminating pollution and saving the planet’s ecosystems; community efforts that create models of social sustainability; educational innovations that prepare youth to become socially responsible leaders of the future; and strategies that offer economic improvement and opportunities. The Foundation is especially interested in projects that can be replicated. Priority is given to newer, smaller nonprofits for which a grant will make a more significant contribution to its work. The Foundation accepts letters of inquiry at any time. Additional information can be found on the Web site.
