DescriptionThe Foundation supports organizations that work to bring about progressive social change by addressing the underlying conditions of societal and environmental problems. The Foundation believes that lasting change occurs when social justice movements are built from the ground up and grassroots groups come together across sectors and constituencies to work for the common principles of human rights and justice for all. Grants are awarded to grassroots, constituent-led organizations that using community-organizing and base-building strategies to accomplish their goals. Organizations should be working to advance social and environmental justice and create sustainable and just-food systems. The Foundation makes grants to organizations with budgets under $500,000.
