Description

The Foundation’s Arts Teachers Fellowship supports the artistic revitalization of outstanding arts teachers in specialized public arts high schools. Under the program, fellows design individualized courses of study that provide both immersion in their own creative work and the opportunity to interact with other professional artists in their fields. Fellows will also be expected to work with colleagues and school administrators to carry out post-fellowship plans, and submit a report on the impact of the fellowship. Fellows receive grants of up to $5000; complementary grants of $1500 are awarded to the fellows’ schools to support post-fellowship activities. Applicants must have been teaching arts in high school for a minimum of five years and plan to continue as an arts teacher in their specialized public arts high school in 2007-2008. Applicants are asked to submit an online letter of inquiry.
