Jonathan Larson Performing Arts Foundation
Category: Arts & Culture
DescriptionNamed after the late composer of the Broadway musical, “Rent,” the Foundation was created to provide encouragement and financial assistance to composers, lyricists, and “bookwriters” as well as nonprofit producing companies. Organizations may apply for project support for the development and/or production of a new music/theater piece. Beginning with the 2006-2007 grant cycle, organizations may only apply for projects that include a JLPAF prior individual award recipient as one of the creative artists, either a composer, lyricist, and/or bookwriter. Complete program guidelines are available on the Web site.
