Latham Foundation For The Promotion Of Humane Education

Category

: Animals & Wildlife

Description

The Foundation was created in 1918 to teach kindness and respect for all living things. The Foundation defines respect as taking personal responsibility for making good decisions within one’s own community rather than advocating any one particular dietary, political, environmental, or religious view and respecting others’ right to do the same. The Foundation is interested in the following areas: kindness to animals, kindness to each other, kindness to other people, kindness to our country, kindness to other nations, and kindness to the world. Grants are awarded in two main categories: human education outreach programs and research on the efficacy of humane education. Grants should not be used for capital campaigns. Additional information can be found on the Web site.
