DescriptionThe Organization supports visual artists with unrestricted, merit-based awards and fosters connections to a network of opportunities. Through its grantmaking, the Organization has established a strong incentive to support artistic excellence. The Organization supports visual artists with two levels of fiscal support. Awards are determined through a uniquely influential two-tier jury process that includes a panel of internationally prominent curators and established artists. An open call for image-based submissions goes out to artists who work in the one of the program cities: Atlanta, Boston, Chicago, Houston, Los Angeles, New York, and San Francisco. Participating cities with active awards programs can be found online along with application instructions and additional information. The date is for Houston artists.
