Description

The Association’s Nila Banton Smith Teacher as Researcher grant supports teachers who conduct research inquiries in their classrooms. The grant Program supports teachers who show outstanding leadership in translating theory and current research into practice in developing content area literacy. All applicants must be members of the Association and practicing preK-12 teachers with full or permanent half-time teaching responsibilities. This includes librarians, Title I teachers, classroom teachers, literacy coaches, and resource teachers; however classroom teachers will be given preference. Applicants may apply as a collaborative group or individually. Proposals must be submitted electronically. Additional information can be found on the Web site.
