Ethics And Excellence In Journalism Foundation

DescriptionFounded by Edith Gaylord, a former reporter for the Associated Press, the Foundation’s mission is to invest in the future of journalism by building the ethics, skills, and opportunities needed to advance principled, probing news and information. The Foundation’s grantmaking is targeted toward journalism schools and other nonprofit media organizations, with special preference given to programs focusing on ethics and new media. The Foundation awards grants in four areas: Investigative Reporting, Oklahoma Journalism, Professional Development, and Special Opportunities. Within each of these areas, the Foundation gives special preference to programs focusing on ethics and new media. The application process begins with a letter of inquiry.
