Henry Schein Cares Medal

Category

: Health

Description

The Medal recognizes excellence in expanding access to healthcare for the underserved nationwide. The Company believes in the concept of doing well by doing good. It also understands that it cannot do good by itself. The Company’s work is enriched by the dental, animal health, and medical practitioners who volunteer their time and talent to care for those in need. To celebrate their work, and to encourage others to follow in their footsteps, the Company established the Medal. Applying applicants must demonstrate that their submitted program has expanded access to healthcare for the underserved in a novel and innovative way that is measurable and quantifiable. Emphasis will be placed on access to healthcare for children (birth to age 18), although all efforts to expand access to care will be considered, including those involving companion animal health. Three finalists will be selected among applicants from each of three fields: oral health, animal health, and medicine. In each category, the Company will award a gold, silver, or bronze medalist. Each medalist will receive a cash award in the following amounts: $15,000 for gold, $10,000 for silver, and $5,000 for bronze. In addition, each finalist will receive $10,000 worth of product from the Company. Additional information can be found on the Web site.
