DescriptionThe Foundation is the charitable arm of the Union Pacific Railroad Company. Grantmaking is earmarked for projects in community and civic areas, fine arts, and health and human services. Under community and civic areas, the Foundation is interested in assisting community-based organizations and related activities that improve and enrich the community’s general quality of life. The fine arts category seeks to create a wider opportunity for the enjoyment of and participation in the visual and performing arts. Preference is given to those organizations with whom the Foundation has established a relationship. Health and human services grants assist organizations dedicated to improving the level of health care or providing human services in the community. The Foundation only accepts online applications. Grants are made to organizations located in communities served by the Union Pacific Corporation and its operating company, Union Pacific Railroad Company. Applicants must complete a one-page preliminary application form to declare their intention to apply.
