Dorthea Haus Ross Foundation
Category: Children, Youth & Families
DescriptionThe Foundation supports organizations that seek to ensure basic needs and human rights including sustenance, education, healthcare, and security to the most vulnerable children throughout the world. Current grantmaking focuses on disabled, trafficked, and refugee children. The Foundation also supports programs that enable entrepreneurs to build sustainable economic communities for their families and which provide the bedrock for child health, safety, and development. In addition, many of the organizations the Foundation supports focus on ensuring that children are safe and have access to education and care. The Foundation aims to promote the dignity of all children and facilitate the child’s active and full participation in their community. The Foundation makes program grants but generally doesn’t fund general operating support, capital grants, and capacity building grants. The Foundation also does not fund orphanages or other types of homes that benefit only the children that live within them, or fund schools that only benefit the children that attend them. Visit the Web site for additional information including how to introduce your organization to the Foundation.
