Trust For Meditation
Category: Religion
DescriptionThe Trust encourages the practice of inner, silent awareness, whether it’s called meditation, mindfulness, or contemplative prayer. The Trust makes grants in two areas: contemplative Christianity and mindfulness. Grants are awarded to organizations to renew contemplative Christianity, promote health and wholeness, and bring silence and stillness to a hectic world. The Trust’s grantmaking is focused on short-term projects where a small grant can make a credible impact and result in clearly identifiable outcomes. Because contemplative practice is a worldwide movement, the Trust does not limit grants to the United States. Grants to endowments and capital campaigns and to general operating support are very rare. The Trust does not contribute to annual fundraising or membership appeals. Inquiry forms are accepted at any time. Applications are only accepted on March 1st of each year. Additional information including details about funded projects can be found on the Web site.
