DescriptionThe Foundation, created by the founder of Wendy’s restaurants, supports results-driven advocacy and social services organizations working in the field of adoption. The Foundation’s primary goal is to raise public awareness about children in the public welfare system awaiting adoption and to form public and private partnerships to make the adoption process easier and more affordable. National, regional, or statewide grants will be considered. Priority is given to those projects requesting seed money; those that include matching or other material support from other organizations, government agencies, or funders; coordinate service providers; include a measurement component to evaluate the project’s success; and are easily replicable. Foster care organizations are invited to share information about themselves and their projects with a one-page letter. Letters of inquiry are accepted throughout the year. The Foundation requests no unsolicited proposals. Guidelines are available on the Web site.
