DescriptionThe Foundation seeks to improve the standard of care for breast disease. The Foundation awards grants addressing patient breast care and medical education. It also provides support for medical and patient education; advancing breast disease research, diagnosis and treatment technologies; and offering programs and services to medical professionals and their patients. The Foundation awards grants in four areas: education, travel, conferences, and research. Education grants are awarded in support of projects that raise awareness of breast cancer and increase the capacity of effective breast health education programs. Community Outreach grants support community-based nonprofits providing education about breast health as well as screening to underserved, uninsured, and/or low-income populations. Conference grants are awarded in support of partnerships focused on educational meetings, conferences or symposia, with an emphasis on those that enhance interactions among the advocate, healthcare, and scientific communities. Research grants are awarded to foster research activities of the grantee. Additional information including application instructions can be found on the Web site.
