DescriptionThe Foundation, created at the behest of filmmaker Martin Scorcese and the Experience Music Project, will distribute $195,000 in proceeds from the “Salute to the Blues” benefit concert and resulting concert film. Organizations in the blues world that further the celebration and preservation of the blues, promote blues education, assist individuals and/or organizations with special needs, and/or other worthy causes are eligible to apply. A matching contribution, in-kind or direct, is required for all grants awarded. Criteria and an application form are available on the Web site.
