American Alpine Club

DescriptionThe Club’s Cornerstone Conservation Grants seek to create healthy climbing landscapes, promote respect for the places people climb, and empower local climbing communities. Funded by REI, grants are provided for projects that improve land conservation and climber practices. Examples of funded projects include new trails and human-waste management systems. Nonprofits or organizations with nonprofit fiscal sponsors are eligible to apply. Applications are accepted between June 15 and Aug. 15 each year. Additional information including application instructions can be found on the Web site.
