Wildlife Conservation Society
Category: Environment
DescriptionThe Society’s Climate Adaptation Fund supports the exploration and implementation of new methods designed to help wildlife adapt to rapidly shifting environmental conditions brought about by climate change. Grants seek to support projects designed to help wildlife and ecosystems adapt to climate change by enhancing dynamic ecological processes and ecosystem functionality, as opposed to projects that benefit a particular species or landscape attribute. Projects should focus on improving the adaptive capacity of ecosystems rather than simply conserving or restoring their historic conditions. Preference will be given to nonprofit conservation groups implementing on-the-ground field projects designed to initiative conservation actions for climate adaptation in the landscape across the United States. Additional information can be found on the Web site.
