Description

The Museum, funding by the Grammy Recording Academy, has an annual grant program that provides support for music archiving and preservation efforts as well as scientific research projects related to the impact of music on the human condition. Grants will be awarded in two areas: Scientific Research Program and Archiving and Preservation Program. Under the Scientific Research Program, grants of up to $20,000 will be awarded to organizations and individuals working to research the impact of music on the human condition. Under the Archiving and Preservation Program, grants will support the efforts of organizations and individuals working to advance the archiving and preservation of the music and recorded sound heritage of the Americas. The Archiving Program has two categories: preservation implementation (grants of up to $20,000) and planning, assessment, and/or consulting (grants of up to $5,000). Letters of inquiry must be received no later than Oct. 1, 2017. Additional information including the LOI form are found on the Web site.
