DescriptionThe Foundation awards grants to spinal cord injury survivors with paraplegia and quadriplegia caused by an accident separate from complications caused at birth. Paralysis due to stroke, spina bifida, multiple sclerosis, ALS, and other diseases are not eligible. Applicants must demonstrate financial need and may be required to provide documentation. Applicants must request a specific modification or a single piece of equipment such as a wheelchair, vehicle modifications, small home modifications including bath, ramp, and lift installations, computers, bed/mattress, shower chairs, and lifts. Grants are not available toward the purchase of new or used vans; funds are available only for vehicle modifications. Applicants must complete all questions on the application to be considered for a grant. Additional information can be found on the Web site.
