The American Academy Of Pediatric Dentistry
DescriptionThe Academy’s Healthy Smiles, Healthy Children Program aims to provide dental care for children nationwide. Through the Program, the Academy will award Access to Care grants to pediatric dental care organizations. The grants are awarded to dentist-led, community-based initiatives that provide dental care to underserved children. Priority will be given to successful programs with replication potential in other communities as well as initiatives that have demonstrated collaboration with other institutions and organizations. Applicants must be a U.S. nonprofit or local government agency that provides dental services to children in the U.S. or one of its territories. Projects should have pediatric dentist involvement and should explain a community’s needs and issues surrounding child oral health care. The program awards single-year matching grants of up to $20,000 in support of community-based initiatives. Details about the program and application instructions can be found on the Web site.
