DescriptionThe Foundation is the philanthropic arm of Nationwide Insurance Company. makes grants in three areas: education, culture and the arts, and civic and community. Under education, the Foundation matches the tax-deductible gifts of employees, agents, and retirees to accredited colleges and universities up to $5000 a year as well as supporting education-based activities in the areas of business, agriculture, insurance, and economics. Culture and arts grants are made to established and pioneering organizations that support visual and performing artists in the Company’s geographic locations. Civic and community grants support organizations that improve and revitalize the community; help improve the quality of government and the legal system; promote business, economic, and public policy research; and address conservation issues.
