DescriptionThe Foundation’s Humanitarian Prize is the world’s largest humanitarian award. The Prize is presented to a nonprofit that has made exemplary and extraordinary contributions toward alleviating human suffering. Other criteria include historic achievement and recent performance, innovative program implementation, organizational capacity and administrative efficiency, and most important, long-term impact. Nominees must be non-governmental, charitable organizations with an annual operating budget greater than $750,000 that have been legally established for at least five years.
