Description

The Foundation’s grantmaking is directed toward three programs: the Stephen J. Brady STOP Hunger Scholarships; the 2017 Heroes of Everyday Life, and grants for youth programs in conjunction with Youth Service America. The Scholarships recognize students who are driving awareness and mobilizing youth to be catalyst for innovative models and solutions to eliminate hunger in America. Applicants must have demonstrated ongoing commitment to their community by performing unpaid volunteer services impacting hunger in the United States over the past 12 months. Additional considering is given to students working to fight childhood hunger. The Heroes of Everyday Life was created to honor Company employees who have demonstrated exemplary service to others in the fight against hunger. Youth grants support 125 of the best ideas from young people, ages 5 to 25, about how they can help end childhood hunger in their communities. Additional details about each program as well as application instructions can be found on the Web site. The deadline is for the Heroes of Everyday Life program.
