DescriptionThe Foundation is the philanthropic arm of the United States Tennis Association. Grantmaking supports under-resourced youth and individuals with disabilities through tennis and education programs designed to improve health, build character, and strive for academic excellence. Priority is given to registered National Junior Tennis & Learning chapters that offer formal educational curricular, improved tennis delivery, and implement USTA products such as the ACE curriculum and Arthur Ashe Essay Contest. The Foundation is also funding the Excellence Teams Program, which is designed to accelerate player development through competition as well as to support complementary youth development activities. The complementary activities include academic achievement, parental involvement, community service, and leadership training.
