Adolph And Esther Gottlieb Foundation
Category: Arts & Culture
DescriptionThe Foundation seeks to encourage artists who have dedicated their lives to developing their art, regardless of their level of commercial success. The Individual Support Grants program was conceived in order to recognize and support the serious, fully-committed artist. The Foundation awards 12 grants each year to artists who have been in a mature phase of their art for at least 20 years. The Foundation defines “maturity” as the level of intellectual, technical, and creative development maintained over that time period. Artists must also show that their primary involvement has been with their artistic goals, regardless of other personal or financial responsibilities. The grant program is limited to artists working in the disciplines of painting, sculpture, or printmaking. Additional information including application criteria and an online application form can be found on the Web site.
