Description

Formed from the sale of the Moses Taylor Health Care System to Community Health System of Tennessee, the Foundation focuses its grantmaking on the following areas: health and healthcare, human services, and capacity building. Under health and healthcare, the Foundation gives priority to programs targeting primary healthcare for the economically disadvantaged, mental and behavioral health, dental care and oral health, and healthcare workforce. Grants in the human services area support organizations and programs that create environments that promote good health. This includes access to quality food and housing, family support, and neighborhood development. Capacity building grants support organizations and projects that promote nonprofit effectiveness. The Foundation’s grantmaking is directed to the following Northeastern Pennsylvania counties: Bradford, Carbon, Lackawanna, Luzerne, Monroe, Pike, Schuylkill, Sullivan, Susquehanna, Wayne, and Wyoming. Additional information including an online grant application form can be found on the Web site.
