Description

The Foundation seeks to improve society through social activism. It supports innovative nonprofits in the following areas: The Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgendered Community category; the CyberCenters caregory; the Gun Violence Prevention category; the Leadership Initiatives category, and the Animal Language category. The LGBT Community category supports national and southern California organizations that provide equal rights and protections for all LGBT people. CyberCenter grants support computer labs located at LGBT community centers. Gun Violence Prevention grants support the reduction of gun violence through research, advocacy, and community empowerment. Grants in the Leadership Initiative category support the development of the next generation of municipal leaders. Animal Language grants support scientific and academic animal language research and exploration. All applicants must submit a letter of inquiry. Additional information can be found on the Web site.
