Description

The Foundation encourages the performance of contemporary concert music, particularly by America composers. Grants are awarded to performing and presenting organizations that have demonstrated sustained artistic excellence. Eligible applicants include nonprofit performing ensembles, presenters, and music service organizations for general operating or special project support. In general, the program does not support jazz music. The September deadline is for organizations that are not performing ensembles. Instead, grants will support education/residency, festival, library/archive, presenter, radio/TV, and music service organizations. Applications from organizations budgets of over $10 million will be considered only for special project support. Additional details including instructions for an April deadline can be found on the Web site.
