Description

The Retailer’s State Giving Program invests in all 50 states, Washington, DC, and Puerto Rico for programs that give individuals access to a better life. There are four funding cycles per year; nonprofits in each state have two opportunities each year to apply. Applications will be accepted in all four funding cycles for programs within the scope of one of the Focused Giving areas: career opportunity, hunger relief and healthy eating, or disaster preparedness. Career grants support job training and placement programs. Priority is given to programs focused on women and veterans. Hunger relief grants support food pantries, backpack programs, nutrition education programming, cooking and food skills training, and SNAP outreach. Disaster grants focus on preparedness equipment, and disaster preparedness awareness programs. Organizations seeking grants for programs outside of the Focused Giving areas, and whose programs address the unmet needs of underserved low-income populations, can apply in cycles three and four only. Details about application deadlines and program information can be found on the Web site.
