Amphibian Ark
Category: Animals & Wildlife
DescriptionThe Organization is dedicated to conserving amphibians in danger of extinction. The Organization’s Amphibian Rescue Project Program is accepting proposals for small, start-up rescue projects focused on amphibian species that cannot be saved in the wild. Seed grants of $5,000 will be awarded for new projects focused on species facing natural threats that cannot be mitigated in time to prevent their extinction and who require ex situ intervention to persist. Projects should work with species within their native range country, involve range country biologists, adhere to recommended biosecurity standards for ex situ programs, link ex situ programs to in situ conservation, and involve partnerships. Details about acceptable projects and additional information can be found on the Web site.
