DescriptionThe Foundation, the philanthropic arm of the late modern artists Jackson Pollock and his wife, Lee Krasner, aids individuals who have worked as artists over a significant period of time. The Foundation’s dual criteria for grants are recognizable artistic merit and demonstrable financial need, whether professional, personal, or both. The Foundation welcomes applications from visual artists who are painters, sculptors, and artists who work on paper, including printmakers. Artist applying for a grant must be actively exhibiting their current work in a professional artistic venue such as a gallery or museum space. The Foundation does not accept applications from commercial artists, video artists, performance artists, filmmakers, crafts-makers, computer artists, or any artist whose work primarily falls into these categories.
