Craft Emergency Relief Fund

Category

: Arts & Culture

Description

The Fund awards small grants and loans to professional craftspeople experiencing career-threatening illness, accident, fire, theft, or natural disaster. Applicants must be a professional artist working in a craft discipline (pottery, metalwork, glass, woodworking, fiber, or furniture) who has had a recent career-threatening emergency and is a legal resident of the United States. Those who receive loans from the Fund are expected to repay the loan in full within five years. In addition to grants and loans, the Fund also makes referrals to craft suppliers who have agreed to offer discounts on materials and equipment to craftspeople eligible for monies from the Fund as well as booth fee waivers from specific craft show producers. Some additional information including an Emergency Assistance Inquiry Form can be found on the Web site.
