The Councilís Safety Grants seek to encourage and provide financial support for interventions at the local and/or regional level in order to facilitate timely application of evidence-based safety and health strategies to protect agricultural workers. Priority is given to projects that engage both management and workers in the planning and delivery of safety; facilitate new partnerships for providing timely, effective safety programs; reach out to stakeholders who have limited access to safety programs; implement evidence-based agricultural safety and health strategies; and have the potential for sustainability after the grant period. Applicants are expected to be engaged in agriculture-related production, education/training, and /or research. Preference is given to projects that are not typically funded by federal/state grants.
