Paralyzed Veterans Of America Education And Training Foundation

Description

The Foundation supports educational projects that benefit, serve, and enhance the quality of life of individuals with spinal cord injury/disease, their families, and caregivers. Grants are awarded in five areas: consumer, caregiver, and community education; professional development and education; research utilization and dissemination; assistive technology, and conferences and symposia. Projects should be designed to improve the quality of life for individuals with spinal cord injury/disability, educate consumers about the consequences of and complications associated with spinal cord injury/disability, improve the knowledge and skills of health care professionals working with those with spinal cord injury/disability, and aim to prevent the occurrence and complications of new spinal cord injuries/disabilities. The Foundation supports one-year projects with a maximum of $50,000; conferences and symposia are supported with a maximum award of $15,000. Grantee organizations must be located in the United States or Canada. Additional information including program guidelines and application instructions can be found on the Web site.
