Helen Diller Family Foundation Teen Tikkun Olam Awards

DescriptionThe Awards are based on the Jewish concept of “repairing the world.” They recognize Jewish teens that have demonstrated remarkable leadership and are actively engaged in projects that embody the value of “tikkun olam.” Up to 15 selected teens, five from California and the rest from across the United States are acknowledged annually for their visionary actions with an award of $36,000 to be used to further their philanthropic work or their education. Nominees must be between the ages of 13 and 19 at nomination; working to repair the world in a leadership capacity; volunteering without any compensation, and self-identified as Jewish. Projects may benefit the Jewish community or the general community, with impact locally, nationally, or worldwide. Additional information can be found on the Web site.
