The Rosalynn Carter Institute For Caregiving

Category

: Health

Description

The Institute’s Rosalynn Carter Leadership in Caregiving Award recognizes leadership in implementing innovative partnerships between community agencies and caregiving researchers that bridge the gap between science and practice. Winning partnerships will demonstrate progress in one or more of the following: educating the public about the critical role family caregivers play in our nation’s long-term healthcare system and the risks associated with serving in that role; assuring that caregivers receive evidence based, effective support services that target their identified needs; and supporting the translation of evidence-based caregiver programs into community settings. Other factors considered are those that advocate for tax and public policy changes; those that target investments that lead to sustainable funding; and providing leadership for coordination of efforts to support family caregivers. The winning partnership will receive a cash award of $15,000. Additional information can be found on the Web site.
