Kendal Charitable Funds

Category

: Seniors/Aging

Description

The Funds, founded on the principles of the Religious Society of Friends (Quakers), is the philanthropic arm of the Company that provides independent living, assisted living, memory support, skilled nursing and rehabilitation care. The Funds seek to transform the experience of aging. Of interest are proposals to address the challenges of the family, friends, and unpaid caregivers who take care of older adults. Through its Promising Innovations program, the Funds will award grants in support of pilot programs that aim to transform the experiences of aging. Preference is given to ideas that can enhance the lives of an aging population through services, research, and/or increased awareness of aging-related issues and opportunities. Priority is given to projects that have the greatest potential for change and replication, for the greatest number of people.
