The Marcus Foundation
Category: Homelessness & Poverty
DescriptionThe Foundation focuses its grantmaking in two areas: assisting organizations that work to increase awareness of hunger as a critical problem and/or delivering food resources to meet critical short-term needs and supporting efforts to change underlying structural obstacles and incentives that hinder efforts to bring sustainable practices into the mainstream. The Foundation understands community food resources to encompass a web of issues related to hunger, including poverty, community development, and economic policy.
