DescriptionThe Foundation, named for actress and princess of Monaco, Grace Kelly, seeks to identify and assist emerging theater, dance, and film artists at the outset of their careers or who are at an early stage of their professional development. The Foundation’s Theater Grants Program supports scholarships, apprenticeships, and fellowships for early-stage actors to further their professional training and to partner with a nonprofit theater company. To be eligible to nominate artists, professional nonprofit theater companies must employ professional artistic and administrative staff; must have been in continuous operation as a nonprofit professional theater company for a minimum of three years, and have held a total of 20 weeks of rehearsal and performances over the past three years. Theaters also must have demonstrated the ability to raise public and other private funds. Additional information can be found on the Web site.
