The Companyís Project Orange Thumb provides tools, materials, and financial support to help communities in the United States and Canada to reach their goals for neighborhood beautification, community collaboration, and healthy, sustainable food sources. The Programís objective is to recognize local projects that will make differences in their communities through unique community garden initiatives while demonstrating and communicating how a small group of people can make changes that affect and involve the entire community. In 2015, the Company will award 30 applicants, grants of $3,500 and garden tools to help support their goals of neighborhood beautification and horticulture education. One applicant will receive a complete garden makeover. Application guidelines are available on the Web site when the application cycle is open. (The application cycle for 2015 was Jan. 31. The deadline for 2016 will be available in late 2015.)
