Description

The Fund supports a stronger, more effective U.S. movement for reproductive justice by mobilizing new funding and capacity building resources. The resources are targeted at grassroots organizing and policy change efforts led by low-income women and women of color. The Fund’s strategic grantmaking supports constituency and movement building work that is accelerating policy and systems change. The Fund awards grants in three areas: The Catalyst Fund: Resources for Women of Color in Reproductive Justice, The Reproductive Justice Fund, and the Community Midwifery Fund. The Catalyst Fund seeks to build a stronger, more effective U.S. moveme3nt for reproductive justice by mobilizing new funding and capacity building resources to women of color-led efforts. The Reproductive Justice Fund is a funding collaborative that would increase women’s and girls’ knowledge of the U.S. reproductive justice movement, increase the strategic impact of their grantmaking, bring new individual and institutional grantmakers into the field, and help to build a powerful reproductive justice movement. The Community Midwifery Fund prioritizes funding in the following areas: access to midwifery, women’s health and wellbeing, girls’ empowerment, and public education and advocacy.
