Four Times Foundation
Category: Regional
DescriptionThe Foundation, named after a Native American belief that those who receive help should pay it back four times over, focuses its grantmaking on eligible Native American organizations in the areas of social and economic development. Funding is given to individuals pursuing a business venture or starting a nonprofit in one of four tribal reservations, Blackfeet Nation in Montana, Rosebud Lakota in South Dakota, White Earth Ojibwa in Minnesota and the Zuni Pueblo in New Mexico. Preference is given to projects that benefit children. Grantees should provide a return to their tribe that’s four times the original investment.
