DescriptionThe Organization is dedicated to the progrswsive development of the therapeutic use of music in rehabilitation, special education, and community settings. The Organization’s annual Arthur Flagler Fultz Award is one of its philanthropic efforts. The Award is designed to encourage, promote, and fund music therapy research and the exploration of new and innovative music therapy treatments. The Award is given in two categories: clinical research and health services research. Clinical research grants support projects that are designed to assess the efficacy of music therapy interventions and help define best practices. Health services research grants support projects that are designed to assess the role of music therapy practice in the context of emerging healthcare delivery models. A single grant of $15,000 will be awarded for projects in either of the above categories. Applicants must be a member of the Organization.
