DescriptionThe Foundation’s mission is to support innovative programs that address the interplay between social conditions and the psychological health of children and families. Established by Dr. Bernard, a pioneer in the field of social psychiatry and children’s mental health, the Foundation seeks to provide seed money for innovative mental health programs with a particular emphasis on children and families. Preference is given to projects located in the New York City tri-state area: New York, New Jersey, and Connecticut as well as Vermont, Massachusetts and Pennsylvania.
