Mr. Holland’s Opus Foundation
Category: Music
DescriptionThe Foundation awards grants to music programs that serve low-income communities, programs with little or no budget for musical instruments and music programs that serve the most students out of the school population. The Foundation offers several different grant programs: Keeping Music Alive grants and grants for schools affected by natural disasters. Through the Keeping Music Alive program, the Foundation will donate musical instruments to music programs that serve low-income communities and have little or no budget for instruments. For schools affected by Superstorm Sandy and Oklahoma tornadoes, a grant from Music Rising will allow the Foundation to provide assistance to school music programs to replace instruments lost and/or damaged. Details about both of these grant programs and special requirements can be found on the Web site.
