DescriptionThe Foundation is the philanthropic arm of the beauty supply Company. It focuses its grantmaking on two areas: cancer research and domestic violence. Cancer research grants are awarded for research on cancers affecting women. Domestic violence grants support domestic violence shelters in each of the 50 states. Cancer grants are awarded to accredited medical schools and schools of public health located around the country. Domestic violence grants are made to selected, nonprofit women’s shelters. Each year, the Foundation awards a grant to at least one domestic violence shelter in every state. Cancer research grants are awarded to researchers at medical schools recommended by the Foundation’s research review committee. Applications for the domestic violence grants can be found on the Web site or from the Foundation from January 15 to April 30 each year.
