K And F Baxter Foundation

Category

: Children, Youth & Families

Description

The Foundation targets its money to organizations that address the special educational challenges that multiracial children encounter. Also of interest are policy recommendations in support of revised school curricula that will be more supportive of multiracial children without sacrificing either basic skills training or appropriate performance standards. Projects that work toward the development of a realistic template for education reform focused on the student rather than the school are also of interest. The Foundation has also considered worthwhile projects in the arts, health care and other areas related to education. Letters of inquiry accepted. Guidelines are available online. Biracial children grants are awarded to organizations nationwide. Education grants are limited to schools in California Unified School Districts.
